My Work
I manage a design, analysis and reporting service for the UK system for plant variety assessment and registration in various crops. Read more about our crop variety trials work. This work is funded by the Scottish Goverment, DEFRA and APHA, BSPB & AHDB. I also undertake a number of other research projects, as well as statistical consultancy.
Background
I studied mathematics at Lancaster University, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 2015. During my degree I became interested in statistics, and started work as a statistician at BioSS in 2017. I have since completed a Master's degree in statistics, graduating in 2020.
