I am in the final year of my PhD, aiming to quantify the effects of parasitism on livestock greenhouse gas emissions. This is achieved through the combination of conducting experimental trials that measure methane emissions from lambs infected with a common UK gutworm, Teladorsagia circumcincta, and by developing a parasite transmission model.  I am based at SRUC, BioSS and the University of Edinburgh. My supervisors include; Dr Naomi Fox (SRUC, BioSS), Prof Glenn Marion (BioSS), Prof Jonathan Hillier (Global Academy, UoE) and Prof Mike Hutchings (SRUC).
