Research Interests

I am a researcher in Large Scale and Sectoral Modelling. Previously, I completed a PhD titled "Stochastic Systems Approaches to Disease Control"" in 2021 with University of York, BioSS, and SRUC.
I am frequently involved in the development of stochastic mechanistic network-based models of the interplay between trading dynamics and the spread of infectious diseases. These models have often been framed in a livestock trading context, specifically the Scottish cattle trading system.
I am interested in understanding and integrating dynamic behaviour into trade mediated disease models, in particular to explore how friction between policy changes to trade and individual trade burdens can alter trading patterns and lead to compensatory and unexpected behaviour.
