Areas of Work
- Statistical Analysis and Design of Microarray Experiments:
- My current research here focuses normalisation techniques (use of
least trimmed squares methods) and detection of differentially expressed genes
(resampling methods).
- I am involved as statistical consultant in numerous gene
expression studies at the Rowett Institute.
- I am also responsible for the BioSS training course on Microarray
Analysis.
- Applications of statistics in nutritional sciences
- I am currently investigating ways of modelling the day to day
variation in energy intake and expenditure in humans statistically
- I do general statistical consultancy at the Rowett Research
Institute with a focus on human nutrition studies
- Applications of statistics in agricultural sciences
- I am the statistical consultant for the Aberdeen site of the Scottish
Agricultural College
