Recent/current work include a major upgrade to VTAB and the FAIR Data Pipeline. VTAB is the variety trial software used at BioSS, NIAB (Cambridge) and AFBI (Belfast) to support National Listing and general Variety Trials. The FAIR Data Pipeline (https://www.fairdatapipeline.org/) is intended to enable tracking provenance of data used in epidemiological modelling. I have over the past years developed different software tools and Knowledge Exchange tools to disseminate BioSS research to a wide audience. This includes an updated version of our Tetraploid QTL mapping software to make this software work with new and much larger SNP datasets. Also, I have developed several online KE tools such as the Number Muncher (an LP dietary explorer) and the front end for our ‘Cowtastrophy’ app, an epidemiologic model visualisation. I have recently worked on a new online demo (using R shiny) to allow users to use the algorithms behind the Number Muncher tool in order to make health (and/or financial or environmental) improvements by suggesting changes to shopping lists.
