We are thrilled to announce that BioSS has retained our Investors in People Gold status.

Read the press release from IiP:

Investors in People is delighted to award Biomathematics and Statistics Scotland (a
key research centre in the UK for development and application of quantitative methods in agriculture, ecology, environment, and human health and nutrition) - the We invest in people, gold accreditation.

Gold accreditation means that you’ve got the policies in place but more than that, it
means everyone from Director to apprentice takes ownership for making them come to
life.

BioSS vision “to improve science and society through an understanding of variation,
uncertainty and risk” is pursued by each of BioSS staff by living the organisational values “we support each other” “we are we are experts at our work” “we are ambitious individually and collectively” and “we are good collaborators”.

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Biomathematics
and Statistics Scotland Gold accreditation on We invest in people is a fantastic effort for
any organisation, and places BioSS in fine company with a host of organisations that
understand the value of people.
"

Commenting on the award, Prof Mark Brewer, BioSS Director said: “at BioSS we have a
strong collegiate ethos, and we always try to do our best to support our colleagues
”.

We believe that the success of your organisation begins and ends with people. If we make
work better for everyone, we make work better for every organisation. And if we do that…
we make society stronger, healthier and happier.
