Our Director Professor Mark Brewer took part in the XX Conferencia Española de Bioestadística (CEB) - the 20th Conference of the Spanish Society of Biostatistics (which also operates as the Spanish Region of the International Biometric Society), over the 16th-19th September 2025 at the University of Miguel Hernández in Elche, Spain.

The conference focused on disseminating progress in developing and applying statistical and mathematical methods across a range of scientific disciplines, including Biology, Medicine, Psychology, Pharmacology, Ecology, and Agriculture.

Mark was one of three invited plenary speakers at the event. His talk, “Statistical Consultancy and the Use of Plausible Intelligence”, considered that statistical consultancy is just as important as methodological development, and no simpler, though it requires a different skill set.
