Altea Lorenzo-Arribas at the ICMS "Circular economy and data insights" workshop
Our colleague Altea Lorenzo-Arribas presented her work on Causal Inference for Circular Economy behaviours at the "Circular Economy and data insights" workshop on the 12th of December. The workshop, funded by the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences (ICMS) and organised by Newcastle University and Freegle, gathered representatives from UK academic institutions and charities.
The programme included presentations by Edward Hibbert, Founder & CTO at Freegle, on the data challenges and geospatial aspects of the reuse online platform, and by Clement Lee, organiser of the event and Lecturer at Newcastle University, on his work supporting the charity with data-driven solutions through the Royal Statistical Society Statisticians for Society scheme. Presentations from members of the Digital innovation and Circular Economy (DICE) network and a roundtable discussion completed this thought-provoking event.
