Research Interests
- Bayesian modelling in time and space
- Ecological and environmental statistics
- Hidden Markov models
- Markov switching autoregressive models
- Bayesian model choice
- Bayesian variable selection
At The James Hutton Institute, Craigiebuckler, the objects of my current researches are:
- the analysis of the dynamics of inorganic nitrogen concentrations, recorded in 56 Scottish rivers, through spatio-temporal hidden Markov models;
- the analysis of stream isotope dynamics through Markov switching autoregressive models
- mapping species distributions on atlases through hidden Markov models
