VEGETATION COVER
|
|
Vegetation cover is sometimes estimated from planes or satellites using
synthetic aperture radar. Microwave radiation is beamed down to
the earths surface and a sensor detects the reflected signal which
is usually a function of the crop, soil condition and moisture.
In this module we use as an example microwave backscatter data
from a field in East Anglia, UK.
