The DESCRIPTIVE STATISTICS tool
To examine some basic statistics for the data, use the Descriptive Statistics option, found under Tools > Data Analysis.... A box like the one on the right should now appear.
You can select the variables that you wish to summarise by activating the input range box and then highlighting the input range on the worksheet. Include any labels representing the data sets and tick the Labels box if these exist.

Check the output options you want to display. The kth largest option displays the kth largest value in each of the data sets (similarly kth smallest is the kth smallest value) A 95% mean confidence interval is available as well as summary statistics (including mean, median, standard deviation and skewness)
If you selected all four variables your output will be like the one on the right.

The RANK AND PERCENTILE tool
This tool can be found in the Analysis ToolPak and provides further summary information for data sets. Select Tools > Data Analysis... > Rank and Percentile and insert the input and output ranges for the data.
The table below was generated by applying the Rank and Percentile tool to the weight variable.
