INTRODUCTION TO BASIC STATISTICS IN EXCEL |
|
Excel 97 runs on any PC with a Windows 95, 98 or NT interface. A mouse or compatible pointing device is recommended.
Excel is an extremely powerful package, with a wide range of applications. The simplicity of both entering and manipulating data makes this a useful package for performing preliminary statistical exploration of data.
Some familiarity with both PCs and a Windows environment is useful although not essential.
If Excel is accessible from your computer then these notes can be used to best effect by opening an Excel window alongside your Web browser window and , as you move through the pages, performing the Excel operations as described in the notes.
