For the analysis of the poplar data presented here we selected the following:
- Use molecular information
- Test variance components
- Within Group
- Compute pairwise distances
- Test distances
- 500 permutations in each box
Since there is only one group, we cannot test among groups.
The basic analysis will estimate the components of variance but will not
perform any tests. To obtain tests check Test Variance Components.
Under Variance Components Testing, there are three options
- To test differences among groups, check the Among Group box.
- If you are also interested in differences among populations within a group
check the Within Group box
If you request a test, you must specify how many permutations are to be used
to obtain the distribution of the variance component.
If there are more than two populations you may be interested in pairwise
differences and also in tests of these. Check the appropriate boxes. Once
again if tests are requested you must specify the number of permutations.
