GENSTAT Mailing List
Rules of the Mailing List
The Genstat mailing list is for open discussion of the Genstat statistical package. Here are a few pointers to ensure it remains a lively and interesting list !
- The list is set 'Reply To List' - if you click reply on your mailer, the return address will be genstat@jiscmail.ac.uk, NOT the person who sent the message to the list.
- Members of the discussion list have suggested that the Genstat list is NOT an appropriate place to send job adverts.
- If you receive a solution to, or discussion on, a problem that has not been posted to the list, please send a summary to the list.
- Please do not send attachments or long files of output to the list. (In fact, you may not be able to as the length of a message is now restricted). Suggest that interested parties email you personally for them, or put them on an ftp server.
- Please include a 'Subject' line in your message. This makes it much easier to find information in the archives.
- Please DO NOT have your mailer set to send messages in HTML format.
- Please ensure your vacation program is well-behaved and does not send 'Out of Office' replies to this list.
Genstat list archives
The JISCmail Listserver which hosts the Genstat list has a searchable archive of the Genstat list - going back to 1955 when it was first set up.
